Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before arranging a collection.

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Techable-Tech Ltd, including IT equipment collection, data destruction/wiping, refurbishment, resale and recycling. By arranging a collection or using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Collection Service

We provide secure scheduled collections within the City of London and surrounding boroughs. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, our standard collection service fee is £150 for businesses and households. Schools, colleges and universities have £0 collection fee.

Clients must ensure safe access for our team and that items are ready for collection at the agreed time.

3. Ownership Transfer

Upon collection (or handover), ownership of all items transfers to Techable-Tech Ltd, unless a separate written agreement is in place. Usable equipment may be refurbished and reused/resold. Non‑usable items will be recycled through compliant partners.

4. Data Sanitisation & Liability

All data‑bearing devices undergo secure sanitisation using verified procedures. A certificate of data destruction may be issued for processed devices. Clients must back up any required data prior to collection. Techable-Tech Ltd is not responsible for client data loss resulting from sanitisation.

6. Client Declaration

  • You have authority to release the equipment to Techable‑Tech Ltd.
  • Ownership transfers upon collection/handover (unless agreed otherwise in writing).
  • All data will be securely wiped; you are responsible for backing up any data you need.
  • Items provided are not subject to restrictions that would prevent lawful processing.

Commercial Terms & Conditions

1. Transfer of Title & Ownership

Full legal title and ownership of all equipment transfers to Techable-Tech Ltd immediately upon physical collection. The client warrants that it has full authority to transfer ownership of the equipment and that no third-party claims exist.

2. Data Responsibility

The client is solely responsible for backing up any data prior to collection. Techable-Tech Ltd shall not be liable for any loss of data, business interruption, or consequential loss arising from the processing, erasure, refurbishment, recycling, or destruction of equipment.

3. Secure Data Erasure

All data-bearing devices are processed using industry-standard erasure procedures. Where applicable, certificates of data destruction are issued confirming sanitisation completion.

4. Reuse & Public Reintroduction

Following verified data sanitisation, equipment may be refurbished, resold, donated, dismantled, or recycled. Devices passing security verification may be reintroduced into the public domain.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, liability is limited to the value of the collection service provided. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
